HomeDockDogs Disciplines
The sport of DockDogs® encompasses 3 distinct disciplines, as well as Iron Dog™, which is a point total comprised of the top scores from all 3 disciplines. Titles are attained on both a National and Club level by achieving 5 legs (National legs for a National title and Club legs for a Club title) in Big Air®, or 3 legs in Speed Retrieve™ and Iron Dog™. A title in  Extreme Vertical™ can be earned by achieving 5 scores at either National or Club events. Titles are only tracked for DockDogs® Worldwide members; however any legs achieved prior to becoming a member will count towards titles once you join. Title certificates are accessible on the member's dashboard at dockdogsevents.com.
BIG AIR®
Big Air® is a “long jump for dogs”. The dog, which may be placed anywhere on the 40’ dock, runs & jumps into the water after a throw toy. The distance is judged from the end of the dock to where the tail set of the dog breaks the water’s surface. Awards are given out following each wave based on the best score of each dog within the divisions listed below. All scores are included in the Big Air® Finals bubble for figuring the finalists after the final wave of the event.
